What is Self-Care?

Self-care is simply taking care of one’s self. It is the practice of taking charge in order to preserve and improve one’s own health, happiness, and well-being. Self-Care focuses not just on physical body needs but also replenishes the mind and the soul, leaving you happy, healthy and energetic! 

Most people only turn to self-care during periods of high stress (mental, physical or emotional) or burnouts. However, studies show that people who engage in regular self-care tend to find themselves in a better place to handle these high-stress situations and have lower chances of burnout than those who do not.
