After the second weekend earnings, Akshay Kumar starrer Housefull 4 showed the usual drop, Rajkummar Rao starrer Made In China showed no sign of recovery while Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Saand Ki Aankh showed a good strength at the box office.
The Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kirti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde starrer Housefull 4 had a splendid 2nd weekend despite the competition and new releases.
Housefull 4 opened well and managed to generate a healthy opening and posted a nice first weekend collections. It shot up on Monday in post Diwali celebration and stayed afloat with first week collections at Rs 141.31 crore. Due to the release of Ujda Chaman, the comedy drama dropped to Rs 8.05 crore on second Friday but grew on second Saturday with Rs 10.10 crores and Rs 13.12 crore on second Sunday.
As per early estimates, the comedy drama dropped on second Monday with Rs 5 crore, bringing the 11 days total to somewhere between Rs 185-186 crore. The budget is Rs 125 crore (Production Cost: 100 Crore including the salary cost, Prints & Advertising Cost: 25 Crore).
Made In China
The Rajkummar Rao starrer Made In China posted a decent first week collections at Rs 10.50 crore but has crashed in the second weekend. The comedy drama dropped big time on second Friday with Rs 55 lakhs and showed limited growth on second Saturday with Rs 70 lakhs and Rs 90 lakhs on Sunday.
As per early estimates, Made In China went down on second Monday to Rs 30 lakhs, bringing the 11 days collections to Rs 12.90 crore from 1100 screens. The budget of Made In China is Rs 30 Crore (Production Cost: 22 Crore & Prints & Advertising Cost: 8 Crore) and looks difficult to cross.
Saand Ki Aankh
Compared to Made In China, Saand Ki Aankh is performing better than expected as it collected Rs 11.68 crore in its first week. There was a good hold on second Friday with Rs 1.28 crore followed by a solid growth on second Saturday with Rs 1.89 crore and Rs 2.32 crore on second Sunday.
As per trade estimates, Saand Ki Aankh showed a strong support on second Monday with Rs 96 lakh, bringing the 11 days total to Rs 18.13 crore. The budget of biopic drama is Rs 28 Crore (Production Cost: 22 Crore, Prints & Advertising Cost: 6 Crore).
