All the fruits and vegetables listed in this story were brought to India by traders; and as Vir Sanghvi writes in his blog, “Say this for Indians though: once we are shown a good fruit, we take it to our hearts.” It is true indeed, because today some of the largest exports of these fruits are from India.

So before you can go, “are you freaking serious?’, let us remind ourselves that the king of all fruit, the mango, is our very own. So is the banana and the coconut.
