These 3 Zodiac Signs Were Made for Quarantine, While These 3 Need, Um, Help

·4-min read

By now, we have all noticed how some of our friends (even maybe ourselves) seem to be thriving during quarantine. And how others, let's just say, aren't doing so well with the break from the old routine. Maybe it's something to do with the we turned to Claire Comstock-Gay, astrologer and author of Madame Clairevoyant's Guide to the Stars to drill down who's sailing through these troubled times and who might need our support (Pisces, we are here for you).

First, let's all slow clap for the naturally gifted quarantiners:

1. Taurus (Apr. 20 - May 20)

This stubborn earth sign doesn't like to leave the house under the best of times, so right now...heaven. According to Comstock-Gay, "Taurus loves the creature comforts of life—good food, comfortable furniture, soft fabrics, beautiful spaces. For a Taurus who's able to stay home during the quarantine, it can be a perfect time to make adjustments to their physical space until it's just right, and relax into that comfort."

2. Aquarius (Jan, 20 - Feb. 18)

"Aquarius is also independent-minded and a little rebellious—but that doesn't have to mean breaking safety guidelines," the astrologer says. "Aquarius can scratch their itch for rebellion by heading out to a (safely distance, masked up!) protest, or by using this alone time to learn a new hobby (cooking? painting?) and then breaking all the rules."  The protest will feed the Aquarian's strong humanitarian streak and exploring that new hobby or creatie pursuit fulfills the yearning for some recharging time alone.

3. Cancer (Jun. 21 - Jul. 22)

This sign is famous for being the zodiac's biggest homebody—all about home, family and private life. "Cancer is also one of the most caring and nurturing signs, and there are so many great ways to help other people during this pandemic, from giving money to a local organization, to offering to bring groceries to a neighbor," says Comstock-Gay.

Now, a look at the astrologically challenged quarantiners. Know a Pisces, Aries or Libra? Reach out to them pronto. Or are YOU one of these signs? Practice asking for help.

The signs that could use a hug during quarantine:

1. Pisces (Feb. 19 - Mar. 20)

She's murmuring to herself: Where are the entertainments, the connection with people...where has everybody gone? That's what this little fish (who likes to swim in a school after all) thinks. "Pisces is a water sign with a lot of feelings, so all the upheavals in the world can be a lot to handle," Comstock-Gay says. "But Pisces also has a deep spiritual side, and this time in isolation can be a great time to re-connect to that side of them, whether through poetry, or tarot readings or deep conversations with elders."

2. Aries (Mar. 21 - Apr. 19)

We get you, Aries—you like to do what you want to do, when you want to do it. However, there are public health policy rules now, little ram, and you need to follow them. "Aries loves action, so being required to stay at home can be a struggle!" Comstock-Gay says. "It's important to find ways to keep in motion, whether that means at-home workouts, outdoor exercise in places where that's safe or masked-up marches. Aries also loves to initiate new things, so quarantine might be a great time to lay the groundwork for new projects, even if they can't start quite yet."

3. Libra (Sept. 23 - Oct. 21)

The most social sign of the zodiac is pretty bummed out by this lack of balance in the world. Comstock-Gay says that it's important for gadabout Libra to keep in contact with friends and loved ones, since phone calls and Zoom dates hardly measure up to in-person interaction. "Libra's also a sign that really values beauty," she says, suggesting that Librans "can get some much-needed beauty by watching great movies, reading poems or even doing virtual 'visits' to the local art museum."
