Bollywood’s very list of creepy movies have enough power to give someone a godo halloween experience. However, what makes these movies more creepy is the very fact of where they’ve been shot at. Some of the creepiness comes from the very surroundings that the movie has been built in. Naturally, these spooky places also become quite the attraction for those who love to go trick-or-treating to satiate their inner adventurer or horror lover!

Well, to help you out in planning your perfect halloween getaway, here’s some spooky places made famous because of Bollywood movies:

1) Fern Hill Hotel, Ooty:
The very hotel that became quite popular since the shoot of Bollywood movie – Raaz. The very spookiness around the hotel is upto an extent that the hotel has been shut-down fir a decade now. Many stories from the shoot have been told like how the crew would hear strange noises during the night, one of them being how Choreographer Saroj Khan and her crew woke up one night on hearing the noise of rearrangement of furniture on the first floor. They tried to contact the reception, but the line was dead. Next morning, to their horror, the receptionist pointed out that there was no first floor in the hotel.

2) Tulip Star, Juhu:
Mumbai’s Tulip Star hotel has become quite the adventurous spot since the release of the horror flick Pizza. Well, we just hope that after watching this movie, you’d definitely avoid ordering pizza. The film, which was shot on one of the floors of its building, scared audiences to bits.

3) Allerton Castle, England:
Well, 1920 had definitely got many hooked to it’s scary scenes, but the veey creepy vibe was given by the Allerton Castle in England, where the shoot had taken place. Considered as one of the most haunted places in the world, Vikram Bhatt’s supernatural period love story 1920 was shot here in Yorkshire. Located in a lonely area, according to the crew, it always gave off an eerie feeling when they walked around its huge Victorian-style complex.

4) Rajkamal Kalamandir, Mumbai:
At times the very shoot of a horror film attracts a lot of creepiness in a place, same goes for the Rajkamal Kalamandir. The all-white set in the opening shot of Bollywood classic Kohraa was built at this renowned film studio. Some people are still spooked by the area of the set-up and choose to avoid it at all costs.

5) Bougain Villa, Madh Island:
Post the shoot of Phoonk 2 at Bougain Villa, which is owned by actor Mandira Bedi and her producer husband Raj Kaushal, even the starry wife and her hubby refuse to actually live in there but rather have it rented out for visitors. Well, it does make anyone feel wary after all!

6) Vas Villa, Bangalore:
Although not used for shooting the film, but the story seems quite similar if one has to guess. Bollywood film, Alone starring Bipasha Basu and her husband Karan Singh Grover has a similar storyline from the Vas Villa Haunting. It was the home to the Vas sisters, Doice Vas and Vera Vas – daughters of a famous lawyer. Unfortunately and shockingly, one day, Doice was stabbed to death in her home. She was buried there, and soon after her sister Vera had moved out. Reportedly, the house is claimed to be haunted by Doice’s spirit now. Teams looking for paranormal activities have also confirmed the presence of negative energy in the villa.
