Azim Premji

His father, Mohamed Hashem Premji, had a business centered on vegetable products and refined oil. But his untimely death, compelled Azim Premji to take over the charge of his diseased father’s business. An engineering student at that time, Premji added many new dimensions to the company and ventured into the hardware and software market when the then Indian government expelled IBM from India, in 1979.
FUN FACT: Did you know Jinnah had invited Premji senior to settle in Pakistan, but despite being a Muslim, he chose to stay back in India?
