Alaya F Is Shooting In Chandigarh For U Turn With Ekta Kapoor-EXCLUSIVE

A year and a half after her impressive debut in Jawaani Jaaneman with Saif Ali Khan and Tabu, Alaya F finally announced her second feature film, U Turn on July 5. The actress is currently shooting for the film and Spotboye.com has learnt some exclusive details about the schedule. A source close to the development informs, “Alaya is in Chandigarh shooting for U Turn. She flew off to the city a day before the official announcement was made and the actress will wrap up this schedule by August end.”


U Turn is an edge-of-the-seat thriller and is helmed by the debutante director Arif Khan. It is an adaptation of the successful South film by the same name, that had Samantha Akkineni essaying the lead role. It was shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu and was a remake of director Pawan Kumar’s own Kannada film from 2016, again by the same name. U-Turn is produced by Cult Movies, which is the new division under Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms.

U Turn marks the third film that Alaya has shot for. In an earlier conversation with Spotboye.com, the actress had revealed that she has already completed her second film, but its announcement got delayed due to Covid and the team is still waiting for the right time. Meanwhile, this year Alaya received her first Filmfare Award in the Best Debut category and also featured in her first music video, Aaj Sajeya opposite Taaha Shah.
