Of course, you and I remember Shahenshah starring Amitabh Bachchan. The film which released on February 12, 1988, had crossed its budget limit and Shri A Poornachandra Rao was appointed an arbitrator to settle the price of all distributors before its release.
The producers, Naresh Malhotra and Tinnu Anand, hadn't collected the CBFC certificate until the price issue was resolved and collected it only on Feb 10.
Co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Meenakshi Seshadri, Amrish Puri, Pran, Kader Khan, Prem Chopra, Aruna Irani, Rohini Hattangadi, Vijyendra Ghatge, Supriya Pathak and Jagdeep, the film's story was by Jaya Bschchan.
The film is now going to be remade. Tinnu Anand, it's original director, may again direct it.
Anand and Malhotra will continue to remain a part of the producers' collaboration which is fast being worked out.
A mega star will play the title role.
