Here's why no-one goes in the Love Island pool

With the dribs and drabs of hot weather the UK has been dealing with this year, every time we’ve had Love Island on, all we could think about is how glorious it would be to bomb into that dreamy swimming pool.

So why the hell aren’t the Islanders in that pool 24/7? It makes no sense – they’re wearing swimwear all the live-long day, so surely they’d been in and out of the pool like no-one’s business.

Admittedly, if Rosie tried to do any lengths in her underboob swimsuit, there would almost definitely be Ofcom complaints. And imagine the wedgies if the girls decided to try their hand at synchronised swimming…

A number of viewers even took to Twitter to ponder why no-one was popping in for a dip.

But the real reason for the lack of splashing about has been revealed by former Islander, Kady McDermott, who appeared on 2016's series of the ITV2 show.

Speaking to OK!, Kady revealed: “Last year we didn’t actually get in the pool a lot because it’s so cold.

“Because we went into the villa at the end of May and it’s just about getting in to summer, the pool hasn’t been heated or anything.”

The villa is located in Majorca, where temperatures are currently pushing 32 degrees, so surely the pool must be warming up a touch now?
