Armaan Malik has rendered two beautiful songs for Yeh Hai Aashiqui. What is interesting is that despite being romantic track, the two songs are as different as chalk and cheese

Armaan Malik is one of the leading voices in Hindi cinema today. Apart from giving his voice to several popular numbers in Hindi, the 24-year old singer has rendered a bunch of popular songs in languages like Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali and Malayalam, among others. Recently, the singer has been in the news for the two songs he has rendered for the film ‘Yeh Saali Aashiqui’. The film, touted to be a romantic psychological thriller, marks the debut of the late Amrish Puri’s grandson Vardhan Puri and Shivaleeka Oberoi.

Though the film is primarily a psychological thriller, romance plays a crucial part in the film. The album of the film, composed by Hitesh Modak, has two romantic tracks rendered by Armaan Malik. While “Hawaa Banke” portrays the rush and excitement of first love, “Bewaqoofi” brings to the fore the disappointment and dejection of unrequited love. Armaan has brought out the two distinct emotions of love beautifully through his rendition.

The one thing which stands out in the two songs is the rich lyrical content in them. Sample these lines from “Hawaa Banke” – “yeh saahilon ki sookhi seepiyan mehak uthein jo tu mile, bujhi bujhi si aankh bhi chamak uthe jo tu mile”. The two songs have been penned by Tanveer Ghazi who has weaved in a bunch of words in Hindi and Urdu to create songs that have recall value. The tunes by Hitesh Modak, too, are very appealing.
