The big news out of Paramount’s Terminator: Dark Fate panel is that Edward Furlong will be returning to the franchise. But, not to be overshadowed, Arnie decided to create some headlines of his own.

It all started when the former Governor of California revealed that he’d made a bet with his Dark Fate co-star Diego Luna that their director Tim Miller would drop multiple f-bombs during the presentation. They had $20 dollars riding on whether Miller would exceed five swears. He did, and Luna paid up.

That led to Arnie announcing: "Tim likes to talk about it, I like to do it." Fair enough!

Arnie then laid into Trump, saying that he had plenty of choices for how to spend his $20. "There's a lot of options available, especially since the economy is doing so well under Donald Trump," he said sarcastically.

The panel also revealed fresh footage from Dark Fate, which includes a fairly bonkers detail.

For some reason, Sarah Connor and her new cohorts end up sharing a countryside cabin with the T-800. “Everyone calls me Carl.” Sarah’s response? “I’m never going to f****ing call you Carl.” Same Sarah, same.

The rest of the new footage featured plenty of action, with Diego Luna’s new Terminator seemingly every bit as determined as the T-1000. Whether he’s dripping himself into a flooded car, or carrying on fighting after his face has been shot off, this guy absolutely will not stop, ever.

“Aug. 29, 1997, was supposed to be Judgement Day,” Connor says at one point in the reel. “My son and I stopped that, changed the future, and saved three billion lives. You’re welcome.”

Looks like the Connor family are going to have to kick-butt all over again, when Terminator: Dark Fate lands in UK cinemas on 23 October.
