From credible B-Town actors like R Madhavan to Amit Sadh, we have missed them playing lead titular roles in Bollywood films all thanks to the film-makers who forget that actors need to act and not just have 6 pack abs! Read the full story here…
Time and again, Bollywood has proved that it has failed to provide ace & superlative work to credible actors who can run a complete movie on their shoulders alone! This has been happening from quite a long time now and it is annoying to be honest. Despite the countless & brilliant reviews which are all over there for many such actors who have proved their worth again & again, the right kinda opportunities are not given to them and are bestowed upon several star-kids and non-deserving faces who can just lip-sync and take their shirts off whenever asked, SIGH!
Let’s remember why we miss these amazing actors who give reasons to buy movie tickets and add a lot of worth to a film with their presence!
R Madhavan : He is gifted, he is talented and he can give complex to any actor! Yes, we are talking about the man who can speak with his eyes, R Madhavan who debuted in Bollywood almost two decades ago. Well, with time, the actor is seen less in Bollywood films but more in web-series and south Indian cinema. The actor of such caliber was last seen in Tanu Weds Manu Returns where he killed it! We want more of him and we hope the film-makers are listening!
Amit Sadh : The actor needs no introduction! Soon after his successful debut in Kai Po Che, Amit Sadh was seen as the next big thing in Bollywood. He had the looks, a killer smile and most importantly, the boy can act wonderfully! It was so easily visible in his eyes that he was dedicated and honest to his work & craft where he kept delivering top-notch performances again and again. I last saw him in a very small but impacting role in Super 30 alongside Hrithik Roshan and he genuinely had all the eyes on him! If just a few scenes can create this magic, we can just imagine what a complete film would do!
Emraan Hashmi : While there were several actors who debuted after 2000, a very few actors have survived and have maintained to stay relevant till today and one of them is Emraan Hashmi. Though the actor is still very much involved in doing films today, the only problem is the stereotypes attacked with Hashmi and the similar roles he has been offered in the past. Easily one of the most under-rated actors of B-Town, there is much more to him than fighting villains and onscreen kissing.
Randeep Hooda : This man has proved his worth in all kinds of cinema be it artsy or commercial and has a separate fan-base of himself. Randeep Hooda was marvelous in Highway, raw in Sarbjit, fantastic in Jism 2 as well which shows his graph as an actor. Despite all this, he is offered side roles in films like Kick, Sultan, Love Aaj Kal and many more and it doesn’t feel right! Hoping he gets his right due in coming times.
Jimmy Shergill : The actor debuted in Bollywood with Mohabbatein and we thought an actor to take forward the legacy of SRK was born! He soon did a few more rom-coms with YRF but tilted towards doing more intense & power-packed roles soon after. The versatile Jimmy Shergill who has got all what it takes to be the leading man in a Bollywood film has often been offered two-hero films. Though there is nothing bad in that as well but we feel Shergill has an individualistic quality and vibe which only he can bring to the 70mm screen. Agree?
