Babita Phogat has brought much pride to India with her wrestling skills. Now she is all set to impress India with her dancing skills. The Gold Medallist in the Commonwealth Games is all set to appear in the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 9 that will air on Star Plus. The ninth season of the popular show will be hosted by Salman Khan for the very first time and will be a blend of couple and ex-couples, to add more spice to the proceedings. Babita Phogat will be belonging to the former category, as she is bringing in her fiance Vivek Suhag as her dancing partner. It would be interesting to see if the future couple is able to match each other's steps on the stage. Interestingly, there are also reports that Babita's elder sister Geeta Phogat was to be a part of the show, along with her husband, Pawan Kumar. Vivek Suhag himself is a wrestler. Both Geeta and Babita had been receiving training of wrestling from their father, Mahavir Phogat right from their childhood. As a professional wrestler, she plays mostly in the 55kg freestyle wrestling. Babita has won the gold medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games and 2018 Commonwealth Games, silver medals in the 2010 Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the 2012 World Wrestling Championships. The movie Dangal is based on the lives of the Phogat sisters and the relationship they share with their father. Aamir Khan had played Mahavir Phogat in the film, while Sanya Malhotra had played the adult Babita. Fatima Sana Shaikh had played the adult Geeta in the movie.
As for Vivek, he is is a winner of last year's 'Kesari award' going by his social media page. The couple is all set to tie the knot by the end of this year.
