Jacqueline Fernandez recently completed shooting for her part in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Bachchan Pandey in Jaisalmer alongside Akshay Kumar. Now we have learnt that as a part of her character prep, Jacqueline trained for the unusual form of art of tightrope walking, which is also called funambulism. It is a skill of walking along a thin wire or rope, suspended in the air above the ground at varying heights. The art has a long tradition in various countries which is usually performed by the locals and street performers.
A quick learner, Jacqueline learnt the art in about a week’s time while she was shooting in Jaisalmer for about three weeks. A source close to the development revealed, “To learn the skill of perfecting their body balance while walking on the rope is a tough art, especially while suspended in the air on a height of about eight-10 ft above ground. However, Jacqueline learnt it with ease and in such a short amount of time, as her curiosity and excitement made her journey of learning easy.”
Jacqueline has already showed her pole dancing and yoga skills on her social media, and that knowledge is what made it easier for her to learn this new art form. The source shared, “Her earlier training experience in pole dancing and aerial yoga helped her to get the balancing part of the art correctly. She has given some amazing shots in the film and her quick and efficient learning left everyone spellbound on set.”
Bachchan Pandey went on floor in January with Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon and Arshad Warsi in Jaisalmer with Jacqueline joining them soon after. The film marks the eighth collaboration between Jacqueline & Sajid Nadiadwala, and the duo will return to work on Salman Khan’s Kick 2 soon after. Bachchan Pandey produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment is directed by Farhad Samji and is slated to release on 26th January 2022.
