After Ayushhmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam starrer Bala crossed the 100 crore club on 3rd Friday, the comedy drama collected another good amount on the second Saturay, cementing its status at the box office.
Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam starrer Bala garnered glowing reviews which led to an amazing first week collections at Rs 72.24 crore and a good second week collections with Rs 26.56 crore. The comedy drama faced solid competition from Pagalpanti which led to a drop on third Friday but was stable at the ticket window to cross 100 crore club and becoming the second film of director Amar Kaushik after Stree, third film of Ayushmann Khurrana after Badhaai Ho and Dream Girl, third film of Yami Gautam after Kaabil and Uri: The Surgical Strike and second film of Bhumi Pednekar after Toilet Ek Prem Katha.
Bala faced the new releases this Friday and dropped to 3rd Friday with Rs 1.35 crore. As per the report, the comedy drama grew to a solid Rs 2.50 crore on the second Saturday.
Bala is now standing at an amazing total of Rs 102.65 crore after 16 days. Expect another solid growth today to post a healthy third weekend.
Bala is produced by Dinesh Vijan and tells the story of a balding prematurely guy and a dusky girl and their frustration with the fair-skinned dominated society. There will be a big competition from the multi-starrer Pagalpanti which releases today.
