After delivering one of the best films of 2018 – Stree, Amit Kaushik has moved on to the next project starring the lovely jodi of Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Shubh Mangal Savdhaan -Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, Bala which is the major Bollywood release this week.
Ayushmann Khurrana is one such actor who has driven the Indian Cinema to a different level with the quality of films he delivered with Vicky Donor, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho, Article 15 and the latest one, Dream Girl. While Andhadhun was a taut-thriller that earned one of the best reviews of 2018, Badhaai Ho was a comedy family drama that made Ayushmann Khurrana’s entry into the 100 crore club. 2019 was another fantabulous year for the talented actor as his crime-drama thriller, Article 15, completed 50 days at the box office and Dream Girl became the highest grossing film of his career with Rs 141.30 crore approx). Ayushmann is back with his third film of 2019, Bala, which will be directed by Amar Kaushik, who made the surprise blockbuster, Stree, in 2018.
Bala was at the center of the controversy with Ujda Chaman when the makers of both the films started accusing each other of the similar theme. Earlier both the films were supposed to clash each other on 1st November but then the makers of Bala decided to release their film on 8th November which turned out to be an advantage for Ujda Chaman which is enjoying the decent run at the box office.
The previous Diwali comedy blockbuster Housefull 4 is slowing down and Ujda Chaman doing decent business at the ticket down, Bala has a good chance to become the highest grossing film of Ayushmann Khuarran beating his previous record of Dream Girl, which collected Rs 10.05 crore on its first day. As per our analysis, Bala can somewhere between Rs 12-13 crore and if the word of mouth reviews will be good, it might turn out to be a surprise at the box office.
Bala also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam while it is produced by Dinesh Vijan. Bala tells the story of a balding prematurely guy and a dusky girl and their frustration with the fair-skinned dominated society.
