The verdict from the audience is out as the Ayushhmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam starrer Bala showed another massive growth on Sunday at the box office.
This will be the third hit by Ayushmann Khurrana after Article 15 and Dream Girl as Bala collected a very good amount in its first weekend.
From Amar Kaushik, director of Stree, Bala has received some of the best reviews in the recent times while the audience were extremely satisfied with the content as they give thumbs up to the comedy drama as per BookMyShow.com. Bala became the highest grossing film of Ayushmann Khurrana with Rs 10.15 crore beating previous record of Dream Girl (Rs 10.05 crore). The comedy drama show an amazing growth on the second day with collections some where between Rs 15.73 crore. The earnings were even better on Sunday with somewhere between Rs 18-19 crore. With this, the three days collections of Bala stands at Rs 43-44 crore.
Unlike Dream Girl, which was doing well both in mass and urban areas, Bala is pretty good at the multiplexes only. The increase in the footfalls shows that the collections on Sunday should be good.
Bala also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam while it is produced by Dinesh Vijan. Bala tells the story of a balding prematurely guy and a dusky girl and their frustration with the fair-skinned dominated society.
The budget of Bala is Rs 45 crore (Production Cost: 35 Crore, Prints & Advertising Cost: 10 Crore) and has released in 3000 screens in India.
