Bharat 8th Day Box Office Report – Crosses The Lifetime Collections Of Race 3

After Salman Khan starrer Bharat crossed Total Dhamaal and Kesari to become the 2nd highest grossing film of 2019, it crossed the lifetime collections of Race 3 on its first Wednesday.

Salman Khan has one reason to smile as the Ali Abbas Zafar directed Bharat, did a good business in its first weekend. Though it dropped by huge margin on its first Monday but was able to maintain well on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Bharat took an eye-popping opening across India which was the biggest opening since Thugs Of Hindostan, bringing the jaw-dropping total to Rs 42.60 crores. The collections we’re higher than what we expected. Salman Khan has scored his biggest opening beating Sooraj Barjatya directed Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which earned a massive Rs 40.35 crores when it was released in Diwali 2015. Released in 4700 screens in domestic market and with the holiday of EID, Bharat also became the third the highest opening film of all time after Aamir Khan starrer Thugs Of Hindostan (Rs 50.75 crores in Hindi) and just shy of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Happy New Year (Rs 42.62 crores)

Bharat 2nd Day Box Office Report – The Salman Khan Starrer Crosses 70 Crores

Since Thursday was a normal working day, Bharat showed a drop in the footfalls which was expected, collecting Rs 31 crores. There was a slight drop on Friday with around Rs 22 crores. However, the collections showed a jump on Saturday with 25% to Rs 26.20 crores. The collections got impacted on Sunday due to the crucial World Cup Cricket Match between India and Australia, collecting Rs 27.90 crores. There was a huge drop on Monday to Rs 9.20 crores. The drama held well on Tuesday with Rs 8.30 crores followed by Rs 7 crores, bringing an overall collections to a good Rs 174.60 crores beating Race 3 (Rs 170.20 crores).

The action-drama also stars Tabu, Katrina Kaif, and Disha Patani in lead roles and will be produced by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Bhushan Kumar. The film tells the chronicles of an ordinary man over the span of 60 years. Salman Khan re-unites with Abbas Ali Zafar for their third collaboration after giving blockbusters like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. The budget of Bharat is Rs 125 Crore (Production Cost: 105 Crores, Prints & Advertising Cost: 20 Crore
