Amitabh Bachchan is undoubtedly one of the best actors to come out of our Hindi film industry since its inception. People, not just all over India, but all over the world have hailed the talent that the veteran actor possesses. So, when his son Abhishek Bachchan debuted in 2000 with JP Dutta’s Refugee, there were huge expectations from him.
Over the years, Abhishek has proven the mettle of his acting prowess with some amazing projects like Yuva, Bunty Aur Babli, Guru, Manmarziyaan and more recently, The Big Bull, amongst others. However, an unfair comparison with his father at every other step has always held him a little back, but the actor has always bounced back and proven himself.
Coincidentally, Abhishek’s The Big Bull producer Anand Pandit was also producing his father’s next, Chehre around the same time. So, ask Anand about the experience of working with the senior and junior Bachchan, and he responds, “Both of them are amazing and experts in their own craft. Sr Bachchan sir has no match at all, and there never will be one. I am a big fan of his, so to even speak anything about him is not justified on my part.” ALSO READ: Producer Anand Pandit Shares An Update On His Covid Relief Work With Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn-EXCLUSIVE
So, did he find any similarities in the working style between the father and son? “If we talk about a similarity between them, they are both extremely professional. They do their work on time and give value addition to the script. But they don’t stick to it and are flexible. Whatever the final director’s call is, they follow that,” Anand asserts. The producer maintains that both Amitabh and Abhishek are absolutely professional on set and they try to wrap up their work as soon as possible. “They are both great actors and I feel fortunate to have been able to work with both of them around the same time in two different films,” he smiles.
