Bollywood’s love for the ‘City of Joy’!

Bollywood movies have taken us around the world! Be it India or abroad, our B-town directors have entertained us, showing us some of the world’s most gorgeous places through their films.

In fact, movies like DDLJ,  Zindagi Na Milege Dobara, Tamasha and others have also made us want to pack our bags and go on a long, adventurous holiday.

However, there is one city in our own country with which most B-town directors seems to have fallen in love with.

Yes, Kolkata or the City of Joy, as it is rightly called, has been re-discovered by Bollywood. The colonial architecture, serene quietness of the Ganges and the maddening liveliness has attracted directors not just to shoot here, but also base their plots on this beautiful city.

That said, even the recent film Te3n was shot in Kolkata. With the number of films shot in this lively city increasing by day, we bring to a glimpse of movies from the past, which made us fall more for the city!
