Thanks to the Muharram Holiday in few parts of India, the Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho and Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Mangal managed to hold well at the box office.
Made at an eye-popping production budget of Rs 350 crore, Saaho opened to an earth shattering response at the box office. However, the film has received negative reviews owing to the weak direction and poor screenplay which led the Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer drop on the weekdays. The first week collection was very good with Rs 116.03 crore.
Produced by UV Creations and T-Series Films, Saaho dropped in second Friday due to the release of Chhichhore but gained the steam on the second Saturday and Sunday, ending the second weekend with Rs 14.95 crores.
Saaho managed to collect Rs 2.55 crore on second Monday but went up on Tuesday with Rs 2.90 crore, bringing the total stand at Rs 136.43 crore. Saaho is directed by Sujeeth.
Mission Mangal is simply unstoppable as it continues to bring in moolah both in the domestic and the international market. Mission Mangal showed a good hold in its fourth weekend and collected Rs 4.23 crore inspite of Saaho and Chhichhore. Due to the Muharram Holiday, Mission Mangal did well bringing the 27 days total to Rs 198.75 crore and should be touching the 200 crore milestone by this week.
