WAR remained the top choice on the second Friday inspite of the big release – The Sky Is Pink, at the box office and became the highest grossing film of Hrithik Roshan.
The much awaited WAR, continued its journey at the box office without any disruptions on the second Friday. The record-breaking film which collected a massive Rs 53.35 crore and beating the opening day collections of the Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif starrer Thugs Of Hindostan (Rs 52.25 crore (all version)). WAR kept the momentum strong and performed superbly in its 9 days extended week, minting a staggering Rs 238.35 crore beating Bharat (Rs 180 crore), Kabir Singh (Rs 134.42 crore), Mission Mangal (Rs 128.16 crore) and Saaho (Rs 116.03 crore).
WAR, starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor, remained unaffected by the release of Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra and Zaira Wasim starrer The Sky Is Pink and collected somewhere between Rs 7.10 crore on second Friday from Hindi version. With Tamil and Telugu version, WAR collected a solid 10 days total to Rs 245.95 crore in all versions. WAR is now the 2nd highest grossing film of 2019 beating URI-The Surgical Strike (Rs 245.36 crore).
WAR has also become the highest grossing film of Hrithik Roshan beating Rakesh Roshan directed Krrish 3, which collected Rs 244.93 crore in its lifetime at the box office. The budget of WAR is Rs 200 Crore (Production Cost: 180 Crore, Prints & Advertising Cost: 20 Crore). The action film is directed by Siddarth Anand and is produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
