After mesmerising his fans with his chivalrous character in Bridgerton, Regé-Jean Page is all set to join the star-studded cast of Russo Brothers upcoming Netflix thriller The Gray Man. The movie already boasts of an international star cast from Chirs Evans, Ryan Gosling, to Tamil film star Dhanush.
Besides them, The Gray Man will also have Ana De Armas, Wagner Moura, Jessica Henwick, Billy Bob Thornton, Alfre Woodard, and Julia Butters on board. Considering the lineup it is no surprise that The Gray Man is Netflix’s biggest-budget feature film ever.
The British-Zimbabwean actor rose to fame with his breakout role in the Netflix series Bridgerton in 2020. Portraying the role of Simon Basset earned him a Screen Actors Guild and an National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Award nominations. The 31-year-old actor has also signed on to star in the Paramount’s untitled Dungeons & Dragons movie. Page also appeared in the Amazon movie Sylvie’s Love. Starring in The Gray Man comes as another validation of his acting talent.
Joe and Anthony Russo’s upcoming movie, The Gray Man is based on the debut novel by Mark Greaney, which was published in 2009 by Jove Books. The series is also the first novel to feature the Gray Man, who is a freelance assassin and former CIA operative Court Gentry. According to Deadline, the action thriller will star Ryan Gosling as Gentry who is hunted across the world by Lloyd Hansen, a former cohort at the CIA, played by Chris Evans. The film is based on the first installment of the book series by Greaney.
Deadline reports that the production of The Gray Man will be starting in two weeks in Los Angeles. The film will be Russo Brothers’ second outing with Netflix who have developed a strong partnership after their 2020 hit Extraction, which premiered last April. Chris Hemsworth, Randeep Hooda starrer action movie had garnered some of the biggest viewing numbers in Netflix’s history.
