BTS has a huge fan following across the globe. India too has one of the biggest fanbases of the Korean pop band. The ultra-popular septet have often mentioned their wish to visit India and their fascination with the country. In fact, during an interview some years back, Rap Monster also known as RM, revealed that he had sung Daler Mehndi’s hit song Tunak Tunak Tun when he was 14!

In a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, RM, real name Kim Namjoon, revealed how this Indian track was famous and that he crooned it when he was younger. Tunak Tunak Tun is a Punjabi song by Daler Mehndi which had become a massive hit in India as well as abroad.

RM was quoted saying, “I could say that the most famous Indian song in Korea is ‘Tunak Tunak Tun’. It’s really famous. I sang it when I was a middle school student, when I was 14.” Speaking of BTS’ desire to visit India, he expressed, “It’s very famous here. We see it in textbooks, in fairytales. So, we got so many fantasies; the mystery, the Taj Mahal, the beautiful people.”

That definitely will pacify the BTS Army in India! The popularity of this band is only soaring to reach newer heights. Hence, it won’t be a surprise if the K-Pop band decides to take a tour to India in the near future. Not just Korean pop bands but the Korean dramas are also a rage in India.

BTS recently left fans awestruck with their special episode for MTV Unplugged Version. They sang their famous songs like Blue and Grey, Dynamite and Life Goes On. However, they totally won the hearts of the fans by covering Coldplay’s much-loved track, Fix You. The song that is close to the heart of Coldplay themselves and also their fans was given the BTS touch in the most beautiful way. That only might made Indian fans more eager for a BTs concert here.
