This year BTS has taken many titles and now fans’ favorite album of 2020 added to the list.

Congratulation to BTS!!

Billboard has been posting various year-end lists and articles about what they and their fans believe to be the best music of the year. On December 28, they released the results of the poll they’d created for fans to vote for their favorite album of 2020.

They choose 50 albums ranging from Taylor Swift‘s Folklore to Lady Gaga‘s Chromatica and The Weeknd‘s After Hours, to name just a few.

This popular boy group took the top stop on the list with 30.66% of the total vote, Map of the Soul: 7 was determined to be the fan-favorite album of the year

BTS managed to just surpass Taylor Swift’s Folklore album by a little over 1% of the vote, as she came in 2nd with 29.28% and Dua Lipa‘s Future Nostalgia took third place, with 6.49% of the total.

Map of the Soul: 7 was released on February 21 this year, gave BTS their highest-charting song on the Billboard Hot 100 at the time, with “ON” peaking at #4 on the chart. Of course, this was later beat by “Dynamite” taking the #1 position later this year, but it was a huge deal for the K-Pop group at the time, and it’s still an impressive feat, especially since the lyrics in “ON” were mostly Korean.
