Met with below average reviews, the Vidyut Jamwal and Adah Sharma starrer Commando 3 opened to a decent response on its first day at the box office.
The first part of Commando was released in 2013 which boasted the never-seen-before stunts performed by a leading actor on Indian screen. The audience gave thumbs to the deadly action scenes performed by Vidyut Jamwal which led the action film collect Rs 21 crore at the ticket window. The sequel, Commando 2, was released 4 years later in 2017, thanks to the popularity built up by the first part. Despite facing negative reviews, Commando 2 collected much better than the first part, earning Rs 24.90 crore at the box office.
The team of Commando is back with the third part for which the trailer has earned a good response as it has crossed only 31 million views since its release one month back. Like Marjaavaan, Commando 3 did well at mass centers but was poor in the Urban centers.
The Adah Sharma and Gulshan Devaiah starrer Commando 3 met with dismal reviews and has opened to an occupancy of 10-15% in the morning shows across India which is better than the first part but lower than second one. The mass centers have contributed well while multiplex is extremely weak. The earnings did pick up in the evening and night shows, ending the first day result with Rs 4.35 crore which is in line per our analysis.
The earnings of Commando 3 is better Commando (Rs 3.15 crore) but lower than Commando 2 (Rs 5.15 crore). Commando 3 is directed by Aditya Datt who earlier made Table No. 21 and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Reliance Entertainment and Motion Picture Capital.
