Cobbles killer Gary Windass looks like he could add another victim to his body count in Coronation Street next week as Dr. Ali Neeson gets in his way again.

Gary – who’s played by Mikey North in the ITV soap – decides to give the doc a taste of his own medicine when wannabe loan shark Sharon drops by the furniture shop and asks Gary for dead Rick Leeson’s old client list.

The serial killer agrees on the condition that Sharon does something for him, but what has he got planned?

Later, during a wellness check with Craig Tinker, Ali collapses at the medical centre and an ambulance is called.

Dr Gaddas and Toyah Battersby reveal that Ali has struggled with drug addiction and may have taken an overdose of diazepam.

Gary and girlfriend Maria Connor watch on in horror as the ambulance rushes away with Ali inside.

Gary’s horror isn’t for the same reason as Maria though and he’s soon calling Sharon, warning her that if Ali dies, it’s her fault. So will he pull through?

Luckily for Sharon, Ali wakes up but he’s facing a hard job convincing his sort-of brother Ryan Connor that he didn’t take the drugs and must have been spiked.

Maria Connor [SAMIA LONGCHAMBON] calls at the hospital for news of Ali Neeson [JAMES BURROWS]. An angry Ryan Connor [RYAN PRESCOTT] blames her for playing him off against Gary (ITV Plc)

Ryan is doubtful and think Ali is in denial about his addiction, but Ali is convinced that Gary tried to kill him and determines to prove it.

But just how far will Ali go to show Gary for the villain he’s turned into? And will he save Maria from his clutches?
