8 Tanzanian Nationals Booked For Violating Quarantine Rules
Eight Tanzanian national have been booked for violating quarantine orders & visa rules in Pune. All of them belong to Tablighi Jamaat and had come to Pune on 11 March.
They were tested for COVID-19 on 24 March and all were found negative.
Complaint Registered Against 9 People Who Flouted Quarantine Rules: DCP Shahadra
Nine cases have bee registered under Section 188 against people who broke quarantine rules, DCP of Shahadra said.
“During physical verification conducted by police at 517 addresses where people were home quarantined, it was found that 11 persons were not at home. 9 cases under Sec 188 IPC registered today and previously, 2 cases were registered in Shahdara,” he added.
Total Number of COVID-19 Positive Cases in India Rise to 3,577
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Sunday that the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in India has risen to 3,577 with 83 recorded deaths. It also said that there has been a spike of 505 positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Eight New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Kerala
Eight fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported in Kerala today, which include six import cases and two contact cases, said Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan. He also said that there has been a decrease in the numbr of people under surveillance which now stands at 1,58,617. He also said that out of a total of 10,221 samples, 9,300 tested negative.
58 Fresh COVID-19 Positive Cases Reported in Delhi
Fifty-eight new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Delhi today, taking the total number of positive cases in the city to 503, according to the Delhi government. This includes 320 who had attended the Tablighi Jamaat event, 61 who have a foreign travel history & 18 people who were discharged from hospital after recovering.
47 New Cases Reported in Rajasthan
Forty-seven fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported in Rajasthan today, taking the total number of positive cases in the state to 253. Out of the 47 cases found to be positive today, 39 were found in Jaipur, according to the Rajasthan state health department.
Two New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Odisha
Two persons tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Bhubaneswar, raising the number of cases of the pandemic in Odisha to 23 on Sunday, reports PTI, citing a Health Department official.
A 70-year-old man from the Kapila Prasad Housing Board Colony Phase II, who had returned from Australia on 22 March, tested positive for COVID-19, a Health Department official said. A total of 16 out of the 23 patients in the state, are from Bhubaneswar.
7 New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Karnataka Today
Seven fresh positive COVID-19 cases have been reported in Karnataka from 5 pm on 4 April to 5 pm on 5 April, according to the state's Department of Health and Family Welfare Services. This takes the total number of cases in the state to 151, including 4 deaths and 12 patients who have been discharged, the department said.Out of the seven people found positive – two are from Bengaluru who's recently returned from Dubai on 22 March; four are from Belgavi and one had attended the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi.
"Will Take Action Against Those Who Obstruct Stopping COVID-19": MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan
MP CM Shivraj Singh appealed to people to not "toy with thier own lives" and said that strict action will be taken against those who are an "obstruction in stopping COVID-19." He also said that 57 foreign nationals who attended the Tablighi Jamaat even in Delhi have been identified by the government, their passports have been seized, and "they are being blacklisted." He reiterated that no function should be held, appealed to people to come forward to disclose their information, and said that the state government is using drones to monitor people.

103 new positive COVID-19 cases were reported in Mumbai today, taking the total positive cases in the city to 433, according to the Municipal Corporation Greater Mumbai, reports ANI. It also announced that 8 deaths were reported in the city, taking the toll to 30. 20 people were discharged today, with a total of 54 who have been discharged so far.

86 positive COVID-19 cases were reported in Tamil Nadu today, of which 85 had attended the Tablighi Jamaat event held at Nizamuddin in Delhi, said Beela Rajesh, Tamil Nadu Health Secretary. She also said, "There are 571 COVID-19 positive cases in Tamil Nadu out of which 522 cases are from the people who had attended the Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi."

Two more COVID-19 deaths were reported in Tamil Nadu on Sunday, taking the toll due to the disease in the state to five, the government said.
A 60-year old man from the city and a 71-year old man of Ramanathapuram in southern Tamil Nadu died in the government Stanely Medical College Hospital, a release said.
The city resident admitted to the hospital on Wednesday died in the early hours of Sunday without responding to treatment, it said.
The 71-year old man had died on Thursday and tests results of his samples on Sunday confirmed he was affected by the coronavirus, the release added.

Cases in US Cross 300,000
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the United States has topped 300,000 and there have been more than 8,100 deaths, Johns Hopkins University reported on Saturday.
The Baltimore-based university, which has been keeping a running tally of global coronavirus numbers, said there are at least 300,915 confirmed virus cases in the US and there have been 8,162 deaths.
Seven Indian Nationals Among 75 New Coronavirus Cases Reported in Singapore
Seven Indian nationals are among the 75 new coronavirus cases confirmed in Singapore, taking the total infections to 1,189 since the deadly diseases broke out in the country.
Of the new cases, 69 are local infections. Six are imported with a travel history to Europe, North and South America and ASEAN, said the Ministry of health on Saturday.
Six Indian nationals, between the ages of 18 and 52, are on work passes.
The seventh is a 46-year old female Indian national on work pass at the Indian-origin mega store Mustafa Centre, which has been closed for two-weeks.

US President Donald Trump has said that he has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to release the amount of hydroxychloroquine ordered by the United States after India last month banned the drugs for exports.
Trump said that he spoke to Prime Minister Modi on Saturday morning and made a request to release hydroxychloroquine for the US.
"I called Prime Minister Modi of India this morning. They make large amounts of Hydroxychloroquine. India is giving it a serious consideration," Trump said at his daily news conference at the White House on Saturday.
