·2-min read

Only yesterday, it was reported that actor Randhir Kapoor has tested positive for COVID-19 and is admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital amid the crisis. The actor said that he has taken two jabs of the vaccine and doesn’t have a clue from where he contracted the virus. Kapoor had also mentioned that he doesn’t have a major problem like breathlessness and hence, doesn't need ICU or oxygen support. However, the latest report stated that Randhir has now been shifted to ICU for more tests related to the Coronavirus.

Raj Kapoor's eldest son told ETimes, “I have been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit to do some further tests.” Further adding, “The hospital is taking very good care of me and I thank Tina Ambani. Everything is under control. They are going all out for me. The doctors are around all the time.” Earlier, speaking to the same portal, he told, “I have no clue how I got COVID. I am surprised. Let me also tell you that my entire staff of five members, too, has tested positive, and I have got them hospitalized with me in the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital.”

Reportedly, before shifting to ICU, the veteran actor had told that he was feeling some shivering and decided to take the COVID test, just to be sure. He also had a bit of fever, but that has gone now.

On the other hand, Randhir's younger daughter Kareena Kapoor Khan was seen urging everyone to take the COVId-19 vaccines. She even shared a video from cartoon show, Tom and Jerry, to explain the need of the vaccine. She wrote on Instagram, "We were talking to Tim to try and explain why all the adults need to be vaccinated and I think this sums it up pretty well. It’s really that simple. But like we explain to our kids, we too need to be patient and help everyone who is trying to help us."
