New COVID-19 Strain In Maharashtra; 8 Travellers From Britain Tested Positive

New Covid-19 strain spotted in Britain has entered in Maharashtra. Travelers from Britain showed the symptoms of Coronavirus mutant, Health Minister Rajesh Tope confirmed on Monday. Already suffering Maharashtra state would have to take more precautions from now. State government is likely to request Central government to quarantine foreign travellers.

8 travellers travelled from Britain tested positive and showed signs of new Covid19 strain. In which five are from Mumbai and each from Thane, Pune and Mumbai Suburbs. All of them are quarantined and contacted people are in search.

CM Uddhav Thackrey gave directions of taking strict precautions now on to Chief Secretary and officials after knowing the presence of New Covid Strain in state. Rajesh Tope and Dr. Shahank Joshi from Task Force were present in the online conference.

Uddhav Thackrey supervised the preparations regarding the vaccination process which will soon be start after Central Government declares the schedule. First trial for vaccination has done successfully in the 3 states of Maharashtra.

About new Covid strain CM asked for New medical teams like Task Force under doctors for proper guidance. Vaccination shouldn’t be affect is what CM wants for now as he asked for full preparations against Coronavirus mutant spread.

On the other hand Schools in Pune reopened on Monday after 10 months. But with the new directive and precautions government officials will rethink on the decision to reopen schools.
