Due to the New Year holiday, Salman Khan starrer Dabangg 3 managed to perform well on its second Tuesday.
Due to the CAA bill protest, Dabangg 3 suffered on its first two days but recovered later, posting a healthy first week with Rs 126.55 crore. The Prabhu Deva directed action drama received mixed reactions from both critics and audience which is very much imminent in the second week collections.
Due to the release of Akshay Kumar starrer Good Newwz, Dabangg 3 lost screen count and faced a drop in the footfalls and collected around Rs 3.50 crore on the second Friday. It went down on second Saturday with Rs 3.25 crore but gathered momentum on second Sunday with Rs 4.50 crore.
The cop drama held well on its second Monday with Rs 2 crore but due to New year holiday eve, the collections was at around the 2.59 crore, bringing the 12 days total to Rs 142.30 crore. With this, Dabangg 3 is now the second highest grossing film of the franchise beating Dabangg which collected Rs 140.22 crore, when it was released in 2010. Dabangg 3 is also the 5th highest grossing film of his career.
The action-drama also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjrekar and Sudeep in lead roles and produced by Arbaaz Khan. The budget of Dabangg 3 is Rs 125 crore.
