Finally some relief for Salman Khan and his team of Dabangg 3 as the earnings grew on Sunday collecting a good amount at the box office.
Due to CAA protest across India, Dabangg 3 suffered right from day one and saw one of the weakest opening of Salman Khan. The Prabhu Deva directed action drama received mixed reactions from both critics and audience. Salman Khan re-unites with Prabhu Deva for their second collaboration after giving super hit film like Wanted and the expectation was huge from Dabangg 3.
Due to CAA bill protest across India, Dabangg 3 underperformed on its first day collecting Rs 24.50 crore and crossing Dabangg (Rs 14 crore) and Dabangg 2 (Rs 19.25 crore) to become the highest opening film of the franchise. As the protest spread to different parts of India, the earnings got impacted on the second day with just Rs 24.75 crore.
As per early estimates, earnings picked up on the Sunday and should fall between Rs 29-30 crore, bringing the 3 days total to Rs 79-79.50 crore which is a good news for Salman Khan and his team.
The action-drama also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjrekar and Sudeep in lead roles and will be produced by Arbaaz Khan. The budget of Dabangg 3 is Rs 125 crore.
