Due to the Christmas eve, Salman Khan starrer Dabangg 3 showed a good hold on its first Tuesday joining the 100 crore club.
Due to CAA protest across India, Dabangg 3 suffered right from day one and saw one of the weakest opening of Salman Khan. The Prabhu Deva directed action drama received mixed reactions from both critics and audience.
Due to CAA bill protest across India, Dabangg 3 underperformed on its first day collecting Rs 24.50 crore and crossing Dabangg (Rs 14 crore) and Dabangg 2 (Rs 19.25 crore) to become the highest opening film of the franchise. As the protest spread to different parts of India, the earnings got impacted on the second day with just Rs 24.75 crore. There was a good growth on Sunday as the situation turned normal, collecting a very good Rs 31.50 crore while the collections dropped on first Monday but still collected in double digit figure with Rs 10.70 crore.
As per early estimates, earnings of Dabangg 3 were stable on Tuesday and should fall between Rs 10-10.50 crore, bringing the 5 days total to Rs 101.50-102.50 crore, becoming the 15th film of Salman Khan and 16th film of 2019 to cross 100 crore. Due to the Christmas holiday on Wednesday, the earnings should shoot up.
The action-drama also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Saiee Manjrekar and Sudeep in lead roles and will be produced by Arbaaz Khan. The budget of Dabangg 3 is Rs 125 crore.
