There were four significant Bollywood films which were released today in the past years – Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Vidya Balan starrer Heyy Baby, Farha Khan and Boman Irani starrer Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi and Sonkashi Sinha, Jimmy Shergill starrer Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi. Let us check how these films fared at the box office
Heyy Baby (2007)
Directed by Sajid Khan, Heyy Baby was released in 2007 and had well-known star cast, great storyline and foot-tapping music. Produced by Sajid Nadiawala, Heyy Baby was welcomed by the audience due to its masala entertainment which contributed to the romantic drama being labelled as “Hit” at the box office.
Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi (2012)
Directed by Bela Bhansali Sehgal and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Sunil Lulla, Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi received good reviews from the critics. The performances of Farha Khan and Boman Irani was widely appreciated. Unfortunately, good reviews did not turn into good box office numbers and was given the status of “Flop”.
Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi (2018)
Sequel to the hit , Happy Bhaag Jayegi, Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi started on relatively slower note at the box office all over India. The romance drama, starring Sonakshi Sinha, Diane Penty, Ali Fazal, Jimmy Shergill, Piyush Mishra and Jassi Gill, opened at 1500 screens across India. The movie review of the film has ranged from decent to average from both audience and critics which limited growth over the other days, minting just Rs 23 crore against a budget of Rs 30 crore.
