There were four significant Bollywood films which were released today in the past years – R.Madhavan, Saif Ali Khan and Dia Mirza starrer Rehnaa Hai Teree Dil Mein, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidhharth Malhotra starrer Student Of The Year, Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu, Tusshar Kapoor, Tabu and Parineeti Chopra starrer Golmaal Again and Aamir Khan and Zaira Wasim starrer Secret Superstar were released. Let us check how the films fared at the box office.
Rehnaa Hai Teree Dil Mein (2001)
Directed by Gautam Menon and a remake of Tamil Blockbuster Minnale, Rehnaa Tere Dil Mein was an outstanding film. Brilliantly directed, electrifying performances by the star cast and beautiful songs sums up Rehnaa Hai Tere Dil Mein. Unfortunately, the film never took and was declared “Flop” at the box office. However, it earned a cult status later among the movie goers.
Student Of The Year (2012)
Karan Johar introduced three new faces to Bollywood – Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. Student Of The Year had all the ingredients required to make it a commercial hit. Though panned by critics, Student Of The Year went to earn some big bucks at the box office.
Secret Superstar (2017)
Secret Superstar was Aamir Khan and Zarina Wasim’s next film after the brilliant Dangal. Naturally, the audience had lot of expectations from the dynamic duo. True to its expectation, Secret Superstar faced the storm called Golmaal Again and managed to become a hit at the box office.

The fourth part in the hit Golmaal franchise, Golmaal Again was panned by critics. However, the Rohit Shetty directed proved its naysayer that audience is the ultimate king who made Golmaal Again highest grossing film of the series.
