There is a new lyricist in town also known as Alka Khan in the upcoming movie : X-ray the image. A bilingual lyricist who writes songs in English and Hindi as well as Hinglish.

Hailing from a business family situated in Bareilly, the journey to Bollywood wasn’t an easy one. Her love for writing was inspired from her father as he used to write shayari for her mother. Being an introvert she expressed her feelings to others and even her parents by writing letters and slipping it under their door.

But what got this introvert from Bareilly to the happening Bollywood industry? It was her friend Banno Tera Swagger Fame Swati Sharma. She owes it to her as Swati was the one who saw the hidden lyricist and forced her to write songs.

On speaking about the influence Swati has in her career as a lyricist she says, “I still remember that day when I got a call from Swati and she asked me to visit her as there’s something I have to write. Swati told me the situation and I wrote the Lyrics, the producer heard it and he loved it. My first cheque was 25k and I was jumping with joy. I owe this to Swati Sharma and Pradeep sir for giving me such an amazing opportunity”

And thus began her journey as a lyricist in this industry. She has penned the songs ‘Aa Pass’ which is composed by Raaj Aashoo and sung by Dev Negi and ‘Higher’ which too is composed by Raaj Aashoo and sung by Swati Sharma. Alka seems to be a promising addition to the Music Industry.
