Psychological thriller as a debut movie is a choice not many would make in entertainment industry, but young and bright Rahul Sharma and Yaashi Kapoor bares it all and shines like a true performers.

X-Ray promises to be India’s best psychological thriller with state of the art seven camera step-up for every scene and a stellar performance by newbie, Rahul and Yaashi. The two explore the uncharted and challenging territory of psychological thriller with a dash of sensuality and over the top close-up and personal violence.

Bollywood and audience is so used to watching debutante romancing and dancing around the trees, that the sheer magnitude experiment with thriller genre filled with blood and gore, could be considered a risky move but the newcomers shines and hold their fort with nuanced craft and preparation.

Rahul Sharma’s character is multi-dimensional and deep, and he delivers every que, punch line, dark and thrilling scene with sheer dedication. Actress Yaashi Chopra explores the whole act of helplessness with stellar performance. Not for a single second does she let go of her character.

The film explores the dark, mysterious and sadistic nature of inner thoughts and action that follows. The story is set in an urban setting with just two characters and their inner most desires surfacing in a very cruel and unsettling manner. The film offers a nail-biting thrill which will not allow you to rest your mind and keeps you on the edge of the seats.

Despite putting a gallant effort, movie flatters at places and certain scenes were too far-fetched and unnecessarily stretched. The thriller does hold its merit in terms of rush, adrenaline rush and violence, but it’s little too much of it at times.

There’s a romantic sensuous song titled Jigliya, it is a peppy track which is sung by Swati Sharma and Rap is done by Ikka. The music of the song is composed by Raaj Aashoo and penned by Shabbir Ahmed. The song features Evelyn Sharma, Rahul Sharma, and Ikka. The film opened with impressive reviews today.
