‘We Destroyed Forests,’ Kamal Haasan Lashes Out On People Who Are Behind Elephant’s Death In Tamil Nadu

Recently a video went viral around social media that people throwing a burning tire on a 50-year-old Elephant when it came close to a resort, which later died by causing several injuries from such cruel people. In this, two persons are involved in the attack. One has been arrested and one person is gone missing.

Meanwhile, several celebs reacting on such disturbing matter now adding to the list is Kollywood superstar Kamal Haasan. The actor took to his social media account and tweeted in his regional language by writing, “We destroyed forests to create human habitations but completely forgot the plight of animals that were rendered homeless. How did people get into the habit of burning a hapless animal alive? This despite the fact that the elephant stepped back? Is this called civilization? The scream of the elephant is still ringing in my ears. We bow our heads in shame.”
