NH 44
National Highway 44 is the longest national highway in India with a length of 3,745 kilometres running from Srinagar in the North to Kanyakumari in the South. This highway connects 11 states and about 30 important cities with each other. It passes through the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, in addition to the states of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.

National Highway 27 is the second longest national highway of India and is 3,507 Km long. It smoothly connects the eastern part of India with the western part. It is also considered as the financial pulse of India as it connects 7 states and 47 cities with each other. It starts from Porbandar and terminates in Silchar, the highway passes through the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam.

NH 48
National Highway 48 runs for a distance of 2,807 km and connects the northern states with southern states. This particular highway starts from New Delhi and ends in Chennai. This is one of the most used national highways as it connects major states and cities of India with each other. NH 48 passes through the states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

NH 52
National Highway 52 is 2,317 kms long as is economically viable as it connects major commercial cities of India. It starrts at Sangrur, Punjab and ends in Ankola, Karnataka. The highway 52 starts at the junction of National Highway 66 (old number NH-17) at Ankola and moves up to Arebail ghat of Western ghats and then to Yellapura and further to Hubbali (Hubli). Some stretch of old national highway 13 from Vijayapura ( old name Bijapur) to Solapur was joined with NH-52.

National Highway 30 is 2,040 km long. It starts from Sitarganj in Uttarakhand and terminates at Ibrahimpatnam in Andhra Pradesh. It's considered the safest highway in India due to less less number of road accidents.​​ NH-30 runs through the states of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

NH 6
National Highway 6 & Economic Corridor 1 (EC1) (commonly referred to as NH6), was a National Highway in India that has been separately designated under the new national highway numbering system. It was officially listed as running over 1,949 km (1,211 mi)from Surat to Kolkata. The route was also known as Asian Highway 46 (AH46) & Mumbai - Kolkata Highway and Great Eastern Highway. NH6 ran through Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand and West Bengal state in India. The highway passed through the cities of Surat, Dhule, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Akola, Amravati, Nagpur, Bhandara, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Raipur, Mahasamund, Sambalpur, Kharagpur, Kolkata. As of 2010 notification from Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, old NH 6 has been renumbered as follows: Hajira - Deogarh section is part of new National Highway No. 53; Deogarh - Kharagpur section is part of new National Highway No. 49 Kharagpur - Kolaghat - Kolkata section is part of new National Highway No. 16.

NH 53
National Highway 53, combination of old (NH6 Surat-Kolkata), (NH200 Bilaspur-Chandikhole) & (NH5A Chandikhole-Paradeep) is a national highway in India. It connects Hajira in Gujarat and Paradeep port in Odisha. NH-53 traverses the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Odisha in India. The road is the part of AH46 network in India and it is officially listed as running over 1949 km (1211mi) from Kolkata to Surat. it is also known as Surat - Kolkata Highway. It passes through Maharashtra,Chhattisgarh and Odisha states.

NH 16
National Highway 16 (NH 16) is a major National Highway in India, that runs along east coast of West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. It was previously known as National Highway 5. The northern terminal starts at Dankuni National Highway 19 near Kolkata and the southern terminal is at Chennai in Tamil Nadu. It is a part of the Golden Quadrilateral project undertaken by National Highways Development Project. Many cities and towns in various districts in the States of West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu are connected by National Highway 16. NH 16 has a total length of 1,764 km (1,096 mi) and passes through the states of West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

NH 66
National Highway 66, commonly referred to as NH 66 (erstwhile NH-17 and a part of NH-47), is a 1,608 km (999 mi) long busy National Highway that runs roughly north–south along the western coast of India, parallel to the Western Ghats. It connects Panvel (a city south of Mumbai) to Cape Comorin (Kanyakumari), passing through the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

NH 19
National Highway 19 (NH 19) is a national highway in India. It was previously referred to as Delhi–Kolkata Road and is one of the busiest national highways in India. After renumbering of national highways, Delhi to Agra route is now national highway 44 and Agra to Kolkata route is numbered national highway 19. It constitutes a major portion of the historical Grand Trunk Road. It is also part of AH1 of Asian Highway Network, that traverses from Japan to Turkey. It was earlier known as NH 2 (Old) before renumbering of all national highways by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in 2010. The highway has a length of 1,269.7 km (789.0 mi) and runs through the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.
