Donald Trump has made no secret of his affinity for Fox News stalwarts like Sean Hannity and the “Fox & Friends” morning show. But according to his tweets from Wednesday morning, the network has fallen out of favor with POTUS.

Trump accused the cable news network of “heavily promoting the Democrats” and criticized the hiring of pundits like former interim chair of the Democratic National Committee, Donna Brazile.

He also suggested that Fox News was turning its back on conservatives — “letting millions of GREAT people down,” he charged — who would need a “new news outlet” to suit their interests.

“Fox isn’t working for us anymore!” Trump tweeted.

While the Fox News personalities he name-checked — Brazile, recent target Juan Williams, and Shep Smith — have yet to publicly address Trump’s claims, their colleague Brit Hume has. The Fox News analyst fired back that the network “isn’t supposed to work for you.”

Hume’s tweet riled up critics on both sides of the political aisle, with liberals mocking him for defending the network against charges of political bias, while Trump supporters argued that Fox should do more to challenge Democrats and back the president.

Hume also responded to a commenter pointing out Trump’s apparent assumption that the “fair and balanced” network is meant to be on his side. The newsman argued that Fox News is “fair” to POTUS, and noted that “some of our opinion hosts support Trump” (though not all do).

Trump will have at least one reason to keep watching Fox, however: His former White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, has just been hired as a political commentator.

Fox News also isn’t the only news network getting grief from Trump. According to The Hollywood Reporter, on Wednesday his lawyer threatened NBCUniversal with a defamation lawsuit in response to MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell’s claim that “Russian oligarchs” had co-signed loans for Trump.
