What is it about visiting one of the world's most beautiful places that make it so unique? For me, it's the sense of transcendence and tranquillity.

The contrast between the white sandy beaches and the deeper blue water reflecting the sun is what makes it so unique. And you won't need a magical crystal ball to figure out where you'll go on your next adventure because these crystal-clear waters will be waiting for you until you're fit enough to fly again.

While Horseshoe Bay has become one of the island's most well-known beaches, it also has a secret gem: Port Royal Cove, which has shallow water and dramatic rock formations that complement the soft, pink sand. The local Spicelands Equestrian Centre also offers trail rides down to a private cove that is part of Southampton Parish's South Shore Park.

In the winter, it's one of the most significant spots in the world to see big wave surfing (the beach hosts the Vans Triple Crown), and in the summer, the sea is as calm as a pool, making it an ideal destination for snorkelling. Don't towel off and go home only yet after a day in the sand and surf: The sunsets, as the name implies, are what truly cement the deal for travellers.

It's the finest of unspoiled Hawaii and a must-see on the way to Hana.
