Dulquer Salmaan‘s next Tamil film has been titled ‘Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithaal.’ The film, which is named after a popular AR Rahman song from Mani Ratnam’s Thiruda Thiruda and will be directed by debutant filmmaker Desingh Periyasamy, will see Dulquer share the screen space with Tollywood heroine Ritu Varma, who made a splendid lead heroine debut in the Telugu blockbuster Pellichoopulu where she co-starred with Vijay Deverakonda.
Ritu Varma, who made a brief appearance in Dhanush – Soundarya Rajinikanth’s Velai Illa Pattathari 2, is currently busy with Gautham Menon’s international spy thriller Dhruva Natchathiram, where she is paired opposite Vikram for the first time.
Kannum Kannum Kollai Adithaal has Dulquer playing a nonchalant, carefree youngster named Siddharth. The first leg of shooting will begin in Chennai soon, after which the team is expected to head to Goa and Delhi for the further schedules.
Dulquer has also lined-up one more untitled Tamil film with director Ra. Karthik. Selva Kenanya will produce the yet-untitled project under his home banner Kenanya Films. Shalini Pandey of Arjun Reddy fame has been roped in to play one of the four female leads in the film, which is tipped to be a travel-based story.
“This is a very fresh & unique travel subject without any cliche. I am very happy & thrilled to have Dulquer on board. This movie will have four heroines with a well-defined characterisation for each of them. Dulquer loved the story & the screenplay when I narrated it to him through my friend & cinematographer George C William, and we are very eager to start the shooting. The pre-production is going on at full throttle. This movie will be shot in Tamil Nadu and few parts of North India,” debutant director Ra.Karthik had earlier said in a statement.
