At the End of It, I Had Fulfilled the Pledge I Had Taken to Work for the Freedom of Our Country: Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay

There's just one day left until August 15th. In the spirit of freedom, let us celebrate Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay. A visionary and a feminist in her own right, Kamaladevi was inspired by Gandhi to join the freedom movement, even going as far to sell packets of salt in the Bombay Stock Exchange in 1930, for which she was imprisoned. A social activist, she not only worked towards the freedom of the nation, but also towards the freedom of women in social and economic sectors- a vision that would inspire women for generations to come.
