In India, it’s not unusual that mothers are advised to exclusively breastfeed for atleast six months, but what we don’t find is the support system to help them do that – supporting employers, good number of lactation experts who can be reached easily in case of problems, awareness on the common problems and the most startling of them being lack of public infrastructure when moms step outside their homes with their babies.
Breastfeeding spaces are in washrooms! Really? Are we so ignorant or insensitive? Don’t babies deserve decent feeding rooms atleast in Malls and Multiplexes? Will a restaurant ever be in or even near a Washroom?
That’s why, the Feeding rooms in Babyoye stores, equipped with a sofa, feeding pillow, nursing pads, baby wipes and so on appealed to the BabyChakra MomStars so much! A much needed facility for sure, atleast when the mumma-baby go shopping for maternity and baby care related products.
Charu Sareen Gujjal, a Mumbai-based MomStar, has shopped at Babyoye frequently for her breastfeeding accessories like Nursing Bras, Feeding bottles, Breast pump, and says she enjoys the variety of baby products at the store. She also like the collection of Maternity pants – Jeans, slacks and jeggings which she was still expecting.
Anamika Singh, a Thane-based MomStar, is thankful to Babyoye for guiding her in making the right selection of Nipple Shield and Breast pump when her baby was a few days old and had trouble with latching. Infact one of the instore executives came home with her husband, brought their catalogue along and helped her make the right decision. Now, that’s helpful!
Kanupriya Jain, a Navi-Mumbai based MomStar, has shopped at several Babyoye stores at Mumbai and Chandigarh and is equally impressed with the cosy, well-furnished and nicely lit feeding rooms. She feels the store has a better collection of baby clothes after Mom n Me got rebranded as Babyoye. She was also happy with Nursing Bras she picked from the store.
A couple of other Mumbai-based moms echoed these thoughts and added that the stores are also good for school supplies for toddlers, and even articles like tiffin, water bottle among others.
Overall, most moms felt that the staff at Babyoye stores were courteous, helpful and offered the right advice when they needed it but the feeding rooms stayed on top of their thoughts!
Atleast, there’s one spot where you can still feed your baby when you go shopping!
Visit Babyoye Stores and find out for yourselves, MomStars
