Extraction: Thor Chris Hemsworth To Skip India Promotions Of Netflix Film Co-Starring Randeep Hooda - Coronavirus To Blame

Just a few minutes back we reported that the trailer launch of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s ’83 which was going to be a mega media event was cancelled due to the outbreak and fear of Coronavirus. Now, we hear that the Hollywood film Extraction that is helmed by Thor Chris Hemsworth and also stars Randeep Hooda in an important role will not see Chris participate in promoting the film in India, as planned earlier.

Speaking to DNA, a source at Netflix confirmed the development. "Keeping in mind the health and safety of everyone involved and the travel advisory issued, the event has been called off," the source was quoted. Parts of Extraction were shot in Ahmedabad and Mumbai and hence fans were hoping to see their star Chris Hemsworth fly down to the country to promote the film amongst them, but their hopes have been dashed.

Chris and the film’s director, Sam Hargrave were supposed to be in India on March 16 as per original plan but it was decided that it’s best to call off promotions as to not risk anyone’s health.
