A post that is going viral on various social media platforms quotes Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan as saying, “I’ll leave the country if Pakistanis artists are banned.” This has been shared on many Facebook pages, and by several users, and has also appeared on Twitter.
However, the truth is that Shah Rukh has not made any such statement. There is no interview of his, or media reports, saying something to this effect.
The relations between India and Pakistan have deteriorated drastically ever since the Pulwama attack in which more than 40 CRPF jawans were killed. The attack was engineered by Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed.
The actor had condemned the attack and extended condolences to the martyrs.
Heartfelt condolences to the families of our valiant jawans. May the souls of our countrymen who laid their lives down for us rest in peace. #Pulwama
