‘Fanney Khan’ Song ‘Mohabbat’: Aishwarya Rai Shines as Baby Singh

Mohabbat, the much-awaited first song of Atul Manjrekar’s Fanney Khan, has just been released. Sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and choreographed by Frank Gatson Jr, it features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, introducing her as singing sensation Baby Singh.

Watch the song to see Aishwarya in her element, and remind yourself of her Crazy Kiya Re days from Dhoom 2.

The start of the song borrows its lyrics and melody from the Noor Jehan classic.

"“The concept of the song came through Aishwarya’s character in the film. She is the number one singer and the most beautiful woman in the country. The song sees her character touring across India and performing in front of a live audience. For the sequence, we referenced recent concerts that featured Arijit Singh, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay. That was the starting point.”" - Atul Manjrekar, writer and director.

To further up the glamour quotient of the song, Manish Malhotra was called on for the costumes.

Produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and T-Series, the film also stars Anil Kapoor, and features Rajkummar Rao and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles.

It is slated to release on 3 August.
