Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has given a Diwali gift to state farmers in the form of interest free cooperative loans for the Rabi crop. Under this loan scheme farmers will be given interest free loan up to one lakh rupees. Meanwhile, addressing a gathering at Niwaru village in Jaipur, Gehlot said that he was also in favour of holding cooperative elections in time so that democracy could be maintained while implementing such schemes. He further said that his government was farmer friendly and understood the financial status of farmers that is why he had sanctioned 262 cr rupees for this purpose. On this occasion, Gehlot also encouraged farmers to get maximum benefit from ongoing government schemes.
