Following singer Shweta Pandit’s #MeToo accusations against music composer Anu Malik, seems like the man has stepped down from his position as a judge on reality show Indian Idol 10, giving way to new guest judges! Here’s who they are:


The singer-composer Anu Malik has earlier been accused of se*ual harassment by the singers Sona Mohapatra and Shweta Pandit!

Bollywood has been facing the ongoing MeToo Movement with all the support it can garner, bringing about a gradual change for the betterment of the future if this industry. This movement that got its kick-off following Tanushree Dutta‘s fearless recounting of being sexually harassed by Nana Patekar. Well, it gave rise to many other names to follow, one of them being Indian Idol judge and music composer Anu Malik.

Singer Shweta Pandit along with a few others had accused the music director of sexual harassment. Post these sexual allegations against Anu Malik, the latter has been asked to step down from his position as judge of Indian Idol 10, until legal clearance of the above-mentioned allegations. This has of course led to new guest judges for the ongoing season 10 of the show, and the first amongst others is none other than the musically-creative duo Salim-Sulaiman!

The two will be seen joining Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar on the judges’ panel as guests, replacing Anu Malik. A statement issued by Malik over the same and the allegations put forth by several against him, said, “I, Anu Malik, have decided to take a break from Indian Idol as I am currently unable to focus on my work on the show. The channel has been kind to agree for the same. Thank you.” 

The #MeToo movement has gained a lot of attention, and each and every one is to be introspected and met with justice. This change requires not just momentum for movement but also give way to revolutionary change.
