Gwyneth Paltrow's former home has just hit the market for £20 million.
The grand townhouse on Harrison Street in the heart of Tribeca, Manhattan, belonged to Gwyneth and her ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, from 2005. They sold it in 2009 for £10 million, according to Luxury Listings NYC.
In New York City, the average one bedroom property is about 750 sq ft. But here, Gwyneth's loft-style townhouse covers 11,842 sq ft with 1,600 sq ft of outdoor space. Nestled on a cobblestone street, the five-storey home comes with three laundry facilities, large skylights and plenty of space for entertaining.
Although the townhouse is currently arranged as two apartments, the entire building is for sale. It was built in 1887 for liquor merchant Alexander Halliday, who ran his business there. Later, in the mid-1900s, it was used as a manufacturing site for the Henry Heide Candy Company. Many of its original features remain, including cast-iron columns and wood-framed shop windows.
This townhouse takes a more industrial-meets-modern aesthetic approach, with exposed brick walls and multiple wood-burning fireplaces.
